Connect the Battery Before the Solar Panel

Follow the controller instructions and verify polarity before making connections.

1 Position the solar panel out of direct strong sunlight while initially making electrical connections, if practical.
2 Connect the charge controller to the compatible battery first, observing the correct positive and negative polarity.
3 Confirm the controller recognizes the battery and is configured correctly for the battery type where applicable.
4 Connect the solar panel to the controller only after the battery connection is established.
5 Position the panel toward unobstructed sunlight and monitor the controller for normal charging indication.
